Sergio Crivelli was born in Spoleto, central Italy, in December 1947.
At the age of 14 he began his career in hospitality, spent 3 years in a hotel school and the next 5 years working in various hotels in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and England. In London, after becoming a qualified computer programmer, he changed his profession and started working in a financial company in the city.
In 1975, the American multinational WRANGLER offered him a position as project leader at the European headquarters in Brussels, which he took.
It was in 1977, that he first visited Portugal, to where three years later he moved with his family.
Once again, changed his profession. In 1981, he created TEXSER a textile export company.
In 1984 he opened the CRIALME factory, which is still functional today employing around 650 workers. In 1987 he launched VICRI and in 1990 SERGIO CRIVELLI and CRIVELLI MILANO, all internationally renowned brands. For many years, TEXSER manufactured for Giorgio Armani, Max Mara, Prada, Paul & Shark amongst many others.
Since 2012 Sergio Crivelli embarked in a new project, he is now chef in his own restaurants: RISTORANTE ITALIANO SERGIO CRIVELLI at rua Brito Capelo in Matosinhos and RISTORANTE ITALIANO ” AL MERCATO DEL PESCE ” in Mercado Municipal de Matosinhos.
Today Sergio Crivelli, has 5 children (Beth, Rachel, Francesco, Marco and Christian) and is married to Luzia.
